I am a human... and I mangled this site.

it's a muddle of random techniques and technology.

I've worked as a unix system administrator for a long time.
I installed a NCSA httpd back in the late-80's/early-90's.

a lot of the tools that generate dynamic content is often CGI-scripts
which execute borne-shell scripts.

A couple of the sections here were "harvested" from tripod.com.
when my kids were young, they built those sites, and I wrote some
shell-scripts to pull those pages (and images, etc)
